You can also use this method if you have a YouTube channel with an existing or new video uploaded. You can upload videos from Google Drive by clicking on the “Add Files” button at the top right corner of your screen next to your avatar photo.

You can upload videos up to 25MB in size directly to YouTube via Google Drive (GD) without first saving the file locally and then publishing it via YouTube (YT). The prerequisite for this is that you have your own YouTube channel.

Step by step guide to upload from Google Drive

Follow these steps to upload video directly to YouTube (YT) from Google Drive (GD),

  1. Go to your Google Drive account. 
  2. Now select the File you need to upload to the YouTube
  3. Click on the Open with option from the list
  4. Now, click Connect more app and search for Upload from the search box.
  5. It will show the “YouTube uploader for Dropbox and Drive.”
  6. Next, Install that app.
  7. After that, again choose the File you need to upload
  8. Click on open with “YouTube uploader for Dropbox and Drive.”
  9. From there, select Googe Drive and select the video you need to upload
  10. Next, Click on Add to Upload list
  11. Next, click Upload to YouTube.
  12. After Uploading is completed, refresh the YouTube studio page to see the newly uploaded video.

Note: Depending on your network speed, Uploading time varies.
